Meet the Brewers

MEET CHRIS 

Chris is the head brewer at Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant, at The Shoppes. During our Q&A he revealed that brewing almost runs in his blood and has been a hobby of his since he was 13. This hoppy affair began for him as a kid while cleaning out bottles and learning the trade from his father, brother and cousin. Chris brews by day but rocks by night. He’s currently in a rock band and will be touring in Europe this spring.

MEET PETE

Pete is the assistant brewer at Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant. We asked Pete how he started brewing. His response started with a giggle as he shared that an episode of Good Eats on The Food Network sparked his interest in homebrewing. With a background in culinary arts, crafting beers just came natural to him. Although he spends most of his time brewing, he still serves at the restaurant two times a week so he can interact, chat and educate the customers on all of their brews. Pete also shared with us that his wedding in Mexico was the inspiration for this brew.

A: I’ve been homebrewing since I was 13, but 2 years professionally.

A: Mexican, lager, citrusy thirst quencher.

A: Anything spicy, or the guac appetizer.
